  • A paragraph about “The Flipped Classroom.” Explain this instructional design and  post a link to an educational source (e.g., video, podcast, website) discussing “The Flipped Classroom."
  • Search online for the “open” terms mentioned in the podcast. Write a paragraph with information that extends the podcast information, including a specific site (post a link to the site).
  • A paragraph on new skills you acquired from working on the two PowerPoint assignments. Reflect what you liked and/or didn't like about the assignments. Post a screen shot of the title slide of each assignment.

The classroom is "flipped" in this instructional model because the teacher creates interactive lessons for the students to access at home, not in the classroom. These can be done before or after lessons, based on the teachers intent of instruction. It can be videos, live streams, interactive or collaborative lessons. It relies heavily on technology to make it work.

I had no idea how to either record a digital Powerpoint presentation with recorded voice, or make a non linear Powerpoint, so both of these were new skills. I also learned to have a bit more fun with Powerpoint, usually I dread creating these things. That's what I liked about this project, I actually enjoyed them. They didn't feel like a chore.
